Dave Watson
Dave is a full time dance instructor, choreographer, and competitor. He has been involved in the field of dance for over 25 years, teaching in the Portland area for over 5 years, and traveling to the Medford area for the past several years to teach private lessons and workshops for our local dancers. Although best known as a "smooth" dancer, Dave teaches, coaches, and competes in the Rhythm, Latin, and Swing dances as well. As a Pro/Am competitor, he currently has nationally ranked students in the American Smooth and International Standard divisions and has taken students as far as Silver Medallist in the U.S. Championships.
Before becoming an independent instructor, Dave worked about 15 years in the Fred Astaire chain. In that time, he was teacher, dance-director, and eventually, co-owner of three successful studios in New Jersy.
