This is the first Special Olympics dance competition in the United States and USA Dance working with the local charities have made this dream come true.
Vivian Hans and her chapter, volunteers and other team members in the pioneering and visionary spirit of USA Dance deserve all of our individual and collective support and praise for this phenomenal achievement.
Peter Pover will be attending and participating in the ceremonies for this inaugural Special Olympics event on Saturday morning, July 5th. It is the organizer's dream that their model can be taken to Special Olympics in all of our cities and perpetuated by our local chapters and national organization. The news release gives you links to find out more about the event.
A story is planned for the next issue of American Dancer. Already they have strong local media coverage -- it is truly an inspiring story!
Thank you for your continuing support!
PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG TO YOUR CHAPTER MEMBERS.
